Thursday, June 19th
Let me start by saying I made two cakes this week. (And not for my own birthday!)I don't care if I don't make another for awhile. :) My neice Emma's Birthday was Thursday. I made her a cupcake cake, and we went over to Pam's house for cake and icecream....just the beginning.

Friday, June 20th
Today we met at 3pm...yep, in the heat of the day....at Sego Lilly Elementary and played softball. Most of the family was there, a few were still coming in, but we had a huge batch of people to play with. It was super fun.
Then we went over to Nick and Corie's to eat Pizza. The kids jumped on the tramp with the sprinkler on underneath and had a great time! Thanks Nick and Corie for feeding us.
After the Pizza, we went back to Pam's house to listen to her brother, Jack, talk to us about Porter Rockwell. Jack wrote a small book on him and shared with us some of the most amazing stories about him. Then we just hung out and talked. Jane and Jayda knitted...Lori made balloon animals and such...who knew...(I don't think any of us are suprised she may or may not have worked at a circus before). Haha.
Saturday, June 21st
We woke up early and headed over to the parade...it was Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days. So we took all the girls and although it was disappointing for the adults, the kids liked it. There weren't too many floats and barely any candy...what kind of parade is that? But it was fun, and oh well, the girls looked cute.;)
At 3, we met at the temple for a session with all the Cluffs. This was the first time all 14 kids and their spouses were in the temple at the same time. What an amazing experience. I am so grateful for such a big family. We all live in different places and sometimes we get sick of each other, or disagree on things, but when we were in the temple together, there was just love for each other. All the worldly cares and concerns are gone, and you just look around and just love each other. That experience is something I will never forget.
After the temple, we went to the Strawberry Days rodeo. It was fun to go. We left the girls at home with a babysitter, because the rodeo is super packed...very expensive...and way too crowded to haul them up and down the bleachers to the bathroom several times. They had more fun at home, and we enjoyed ourselves more. The rodeo was fun, although not too many people actually did their event. They tried...but missed the calf (tried to rope it) or whatever...so that was disappointing, but the big entertainment was two guys on motercylces doing jumps and stuff. One guy did a back flip on his bike, it was really cool.
Sunday- June 22nd
We met at Pam's at 9 am for family pictures....since its the first time in a while we were all together. It was a circus...:) lets face it. We took pictures then went to church for Benson's farewell. It was really great. Benson has such a strong testimony of the gospel and will be an amazing missionary. Afterwards we had dinner at the Cluff's and sat around and visited.

Monday, June 23rd
Today we went to the park, where there is a creek and the kids played in it. We came to our house and played games, and then went out to Pam's and played games and just enjoyed each other's company.
Tuesday, June 24th
We all met at at park and brought lunch again. (Different park) Then we went to the Lehi legacy center and swam for a couple of hours. The girls had so much fun swimming. Then we went to Pam's again for dinner. We all hung around until 9pm when we went to the church for Benson to be set apart as a full time missionary. After he was set apart, we went back to Pam's and all sat around and shared missionary experiences with Benson and offered advice...I have to say it was one of the most spiritual experiences I have had with the Cluff's. We all just have so much love for Benson and know he is doing the right thing by serving the Lord. It was amazing to hear people's stories and in a way hear them bear their testimonies. It could not have been planned, it was just simply led by the spirit. Another amazing experience.
Then we said our goodbyes to Benson and the others who would be leaving today and came home. What a wonderful week. How blessed we are to have such a great big family and be able to share such amazing experiences. So now Benson is at the MTC, and we all feel like a little piece of our life is missing something for awhile. However, there are people in Washington waiting for him who need him to bring them the gospel. Good Luck Benson, you will always be in our prayers. We love you.
I know our meeting shall be much like Ammon, Alma, and the sons of Mosiah after they completed their missions. We look forward to the time when the entire family can be all together again.
