Is My Tag Hanging Out?

I have been tagged...I read about it on one of my friends' sites for the first time the other day, and then bam...Lori, who is always just one more step ahead of the rest tagged me. :) Thanks! :) It is kind of fun...I learned more about you in those 6 facts than in 6 years. :) HeHe.Here are the rules. :)

1. The player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves - try to find 6 you haven't already posted about!

Now about me...hmmmmm...I think most people know about me, I am very vocal. But here are a few things....maybe you didn't....

* I am very obsessive compulsive about my house being clean. You wouldn't know it, because it very often isnt...but I can't sit down, relax, or watch tv or anything, unless it is in perfect order....I am so uptight until I have it clean....it really bugs me. Mostly because it isn't usually clean to my liking, thus...I am not so nice to live with. :) Sorry Nelson! (He knows this is a problem)

* Here is a shocker....when I was little, I was very shy. Ha! I remember having to play a part in a show for parents in Kindergarten and I was a snake charmer. I went first in the show and I was so nervous all day and scared to death....I hated performing.....

* On the opposite side of that....when I got older, I always wanted to go into acting. :) I was in many plays in school and even auditioned for some TV shows. I was one of 8 people from thousands who auditioned for a show called "Rockets kids jam" (Hence Houston Rockets).....I obviously didn't get it, but the people seemed to think those of us who were called back were the "cream of the crop and wouldn't have a problem getting a job somewhere else" Ha! Am I famous? Maybe in smaller circles. :) He he

*I was valedictorian of my 8th grade class....yeah, we were all shocked!

* Not only with my aspiring goals to be an actress, I was also interested in broadcasting...(this was before I applied to law school...hehe) I was an broadcaster for a local cable television show near my college town. I doubt anyone watched it, even I cringe looking at the episodes I have recorded on tape. (don't ever ask to see them, I wouldn't put anyone through the embarrassment)

*My List of Famous People...these are the people I have been privileged to meet in my short liftime.......Clay Walker, Chris LeDoux, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Ty Murray, and George Bush...yes, the current President...although he was only Governor of Texas when I met him. :) He is truly a nice, down to earth man!

Yesterday we were suddenly told my Aunt and Uncle were going to the temple. Some of you may know that my mom has been taking the temple lessons and getting really involved in church. Well, she lives with my Aunt and Uncle, who were taking the classes as well. The just completed there temple lessons yesterday and have really been trying hard to give up all their addictions. The quit cold turkey and have really been trying to prepare for the temple. They have always known they wanted to go, but just didn't do anything about it. So now, they have prepared themselves and have set a date to go this Saturday to the Houston Temple. My mom will be going too, but not this weekend. She is waiting a little longer to make sure she is "truly" ready. When that time comes, we will be making another trip, but for now, we are making a last minute trip to Texas to see them go through the temple. I am going to be my Aunt's escort, which will be so neat. I am so excited to see my family have the opportunity to partake in the blessing of the temple. I know they want to do what is right and they are trying. Heavenly Father is blessing them in their efforts. I am exited for the time when I can also escort my mom into the temple. These are the most important things they will ever do in their lifetime, and I wouldn't miss it for the world. My aunt and uncle are going to not only take out their endowments, they are also going to be sealed to each other and then sealed to their parents. It is of course, very special, but even more so, because I have already done the work for my grandparents, so my aunt can be sealed to them. We have all been truly blessed. So in regards to my family two down, many more to go. :)

Well, glory glory, we potty trained Mia last week. At first I thought, she would be the hardest one yet, she was extremely afraid of falling in the toilet you see. Tues night, Nelson stayed with her in the bathroom until she wasn't afraid anymore. It took a lot ot tears and yelling, but she finally gave up and knew she would not fall in the toilet. So Thur (the girls had gymnastics wed) when we could stay home, the diapers came off and the panties went on. She only had to pee on herself once to figure it out. She even did a number 2 on the potty, and so was rewarded with what else but her own Dora panties. She has done very good for almost a week now. She hasn't peed in her bed yet...knock on wood, and has only had a couple of accidents when she was playing and too busy to come in. She is so proud to wear panties. :) I can't believe how easy it was with her. She has been the easiest yet. I can't believe she is that big. Wow time flies. :)

Books, Books, and More Books

I am always in search of a good book to read. It is hard to keep my attention, but if an author can do that...well it is bound to be a great book. :) I am always reading my sister-in laws' (Lori) website to get new ideas for books to read. So I thought I would put my own suggestion on to let others see what I like. I have read The Memory Keeper's Daughter, like Lori, and it was good I thought. I am excited to go to the Libarary and check out a few of her suggestions and some others. The books on my list to read are: "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" ( I started it two months ago and got side tracked with the Twilight series :), "Eat, Love, Pray, " "Tending Roses," and I am considering starting one of Anita Stansfield's Series.....so many books, and literally so little time. :) But honestly, reading is one of the only things I can do for myself with so many kids. :) Gotta make time for that, even if it is between 10pm and 2am.

Well We tried to take pics today at the amphitheater, umm...sometimes it is best to just leave it to the professionals. I will be making an appointment with Emilie Campbell soon, and hopefully then we shall post the girls again, in the same clothes, but much better outcome. :) Oh well, they are still cute. Even if I can't take the best pics. :)

Jayda's 5th Birthday Party

Well Jayda is now 5! I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday she was a baby. We threw her a big bash yesterday. She had a big princess party equipped with a castle cake, a castle, prince, princesses, and even dragons. We really had a good time. She got plenty of wonderful gifts from her friends. She got babies, clothes, dolls, drawing stuff, a Barbie movie, bath toys, High School Musical purse and pencil holder, chapstick...tons of great gifts. We had a house full, but it was very fun. There was a ton of cake left over, literally, and we kept a little and threw a lot out. But it was fun, and now she is 5 and I can take a break...or can I????

Signing Time!

Last week we finally got our videos of Signing Time, we ordered 5-6 months ago....minor glitch in the details. :) The girls are so excited they have been watching them non-stop. They will be interpreting for Brady and Allyssa before I know it. :) We watch them all day, even in the car. Oh well, at least they are learning something worth while. And yet, I can't get the tune out of my head.... "It's signing time with Alex and Leah....."
