My BF from High School

We had dinner at my house tonight with Kim, my Best friend from High School. Her, her hubby, and her cute little 9 month old twins, Hailey and Maddison. Of Course the girls wouldn't leave them alone and the babies aren't used to so much ruckus, but they were fun to have over! Ryder was a loner with no other boys to play with, but he is used to it! :)

Today's Happenings...

We had a very productive day...thank goodness! :) First of all, the girls were playing dress up with Sienna....so this is the result of their creations...




Another productive thing...is baths...of course. :) Ryder loves the bath and would never get out if I let him stay in. I put him in and he goes nuts...crawls all over the tub, splashes and pulls himself up...he just loves it. :)



Then we finally got some carpet! Woohoo! I am so excited....the house is sooooooo much better with some RUG! :) Look closely...it blends in, but it is oh so soft!!! And it was a great deal! :) Lovely Remnant huh? :)



Well, we have lived here a month now and finally unpacked a few more things and rearranged some things....got some more carpet and now things are looking up a bit. Yay...still lots to do, but we are ever so thankful for carpet. :)

Hair today....gone tomorrow?

Yes, this is the 3rd...count them, 3rd hair cut I have gotten. Just can't quite get it how I want it. Maybe this will suffice.

A weekend away....

Okay, not really a weekend. Wednesday, the 17th was mom's birthday...so we decided to go up and visit her on saturday. We really wanted to go on Friday, but here is what was going on...I had to take baby to the doctor to find out he had "brochitis" and Jayda came home sick with a headache and fever from school...plus I had to coach the young women's basketball tournament on saturday morning. (We lost championship by 6 pts.) :( It was a busy Friday and Saturday morning.

But we got out of here by 2pm on Saturday and got to Nana's by 6pm. (after a few stops). Papa Bill had his train all set up for the kids to look at and play with for a sec...they really loved. it. :)

We gave Nana her birthday present...(her own tool bag w/ accessories....) :) She loved it!



Pappa Bill restored a bench for the girls to sent on and they loved it...so they sat on it and played around with some toys, then we had a yummy dinner and the girls played 5000 and an arcade game with Nana.






They were having loads of fun with Nana and Bill...and me and Nelson were taking a break! :) ha!

We had a fun time and yummy food of course....while we visited. The girls had fun and eventually Jayda's fever went away. It was a quick trip, but fun nonetheless!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all my loved ones!!! There are many!



Today we celebrated with a "toned" down version of last year...after all it is Sunday.
The girls got to wake up and have a scavenger hunt for their "valentines" and also they had the usual "wall of hearts." Although we didnt have colored paper, so it is hard to see white paper on a white wall.

No matter.....we did the best we could this year and the girls still enjoyed it and we just wanted to let them know we love them and appreciate them.

I am so blessed to have such wonderful kids and a wonderful "valentine" myself. Nelson is the best husband in the world (for me). He is so patient and loving and works so hard for us. He puts up with all of the hormones in our house and has high hopes for some boy bonding when Ryder is older.

I have been truly blessed these last 8 1/2 years with not only one special valentine, but 6!

I love you all...Nelson, Jayda, Halle, Mia, Sienna, & Ryder!

Car Seat Cover/ Tent

I don't know really the "official" name for these, but I am making some for my sister in laws who are "heavy" with child right now! :) Here is the first one. I think it came out cute.

I "Choo-Choose" You Cupcakes

Today we made the same cupcakes we did last year....they are so yummy and fun to make... We were playing/ tending some kids in our ward and so we decided to make these Valentine Cupcakes...it was super fun and super yummy. :)

Ryder Crawling

Ryder just decided he is tired of "centipeding" around, so he put one knee in front of the other and viola! He crawls. :) Just like that! What a big boy...now if he can just crawl fast enough to escape his sisters....

Halle's 6th Birthday

Today my Halle is 6! I cant believe how fast time goes. It seems like yesterday we lived out in the ranches and had only one child. (OK, maybe not yesterday....) but it was VERY cold that year (2004) and my mom came to stay with Jayda while we went to the hospital to deliver Halle. Halle was born around 1pm, and who would have known she would end up with curly hair. Right when she was born I could tell she would look like me. She was the only one born that looked "cuban" from the get go. :) She was so dark headed. So cute! While we were at the hospital, Nana was back at the house teaching Jayda about Barney and Teletubbies! :) It does seem like a long time ago. I guess it is more sad than "like yesterday" that time goes so fast and there you are...she is 6 and in Kindergarten all day....now I cant get her back...she'll be in school the rest of her life! :(

Halle is such a sweet little girl. She is very sensitive and emotional. Especially when it comes to family. She hates for us to be separated and wants us to be all together all the time. She is very soft spoken and will attach easily to anyone who gives her more than 2 seconds of attention. She is just like me! I love her so much!

We had a great birthday for her. She woke up to the house decorated in her "Hannah Montana" decorations. She requested a HM party...which is Super easy. :) We used plates to decorate (the round ones have hole...like a CD) for those who are wondering! :) She took goodies to school for her class...which was fun. She had to share her day with a lot of "other things"..because not only is it Ground Hog's Day, but it was also the "100th" day of school on her birthday! So she probably got to do a lot more fun things at school than usual. She gets home from school at 4:30, so her party was at 5:30. We invited Taryn (my sister's bff) and her 3 kids (Olivia, Will, & Michael) and my friends Jamie & Greg with their 3 kids (Savannah, Kylie, McKay). With those kids, plus ours we had 9 kids.....you can imagine why I didn't invite anyone else. :) Grandma and Grandpa Cluff couldn't come, and Nana was going jet over (3 hrs :) and surprise us, but had been having car troubles! Grandpa (Martinez) came over later. We ate homemade pizza, played Hannah Montana Bingo, opened presents, then had some yummy Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cake with Ice Cream. (Her request). We had a fun day. We, of course, missed all the usual family that come to our parties, but I think Halle still enjoyed her birthday.

She got some fun stuff. Grandma & Grandpa Cluff and Nana sent money (for which she bought an electronic puppy and a gumball machine.) Grandpa and Laura (clothes), Auntie Angie (microphone charm), Alina (peace charm), Taryn & company (Fancy Nancy book, Pitureka game),Jamie (jewelry kit), Mom & dad (clothes, Caboodle with gum, tic tacs, makeup, brush, fingernail polish, lip gloss).

Thanks to everyone who sent her presents and celebrated with us. (And who called at 7am!!!! (Auntie Angie and Pam) It was a special day. :)
