Bryan, Texas

So today, we spent some time in Old Historic Downtown Bryan. We mostly spent our time in a little antique shop where my mom found some collector's china she has been looking for. (It was also an old time soda shop) We looked around and enjoyed some Blue Bell ice cream of course...and Halle's 2nd tooth fell out! She has an extra tooth on top, so it has been coming in pushing out one of her front teeth...finally the front tooth gave up and fell out. Now we will have to get the extra tooth removed! :( We had a fun day and enjoyed spending time with Nana. :) It is so fun to have her around.

Calvert, Texas

Today we drove to Calvert, Texas to see the shops and visit Cocoamoda (an apparently famous candy store). Well, I was planning on some nice window shopping and a nice piece of chocolate candy from the Cocoamoda shop...but all was not as it seemed. We shopped in a few stores that seemed to sell all the same stuff...including some super expensive (but cute) flip flops. We saw an old movie theater turned into an antique shop, which was in turn being restored to a theater. :) It was super hot out and I forgot the baby's stroller, so that added to the excitement! Then we stopped to get some candy, and who knew....Cocoamoda is not a candy shop...it is a truffle shop. A very expensive truffle shop! $3 a truffle! They sell the truffles with the liquid middles.....well, again...who knew. A lot of money later and a lot of kids spitting out their "runny" truffles...we decided to call it a day and head home! At least we had some fun and did something. We got some cute pictures too. :) Oh well, for those seeking to visit old towns...just pass that one right by. :)

My mom came today to stay for a week! The kids were so excited! :) Bill (her hubby) couldn't come this time, but he sent them pajamas and a cute card! They loved them! And needed them. :)

Schlitterbahn

We had so much fun at Schlitterbahn today with our family. The kids enjoyed every second of it, even when they were soooo pooped they couldnt keep their eyes open..they found a way. Eventually they got their second wind! It was fun for all the cousins to be together and enjoy the kiddie pools there. They could all reach the bottom and loved it! Thanks Ben and Pam for a wonderful family reunion! The only way it would have been any better is if everyone could have been here! It was amazing!
