Happy Father's Day!

We have been so busy here, as you can probably imagine, we have a lot going on in June...(you may have read)....but I failed to mention a Happy Father's Day to the four dads in my life.

First, my husband, who is the best Dad in the world. He has four little princesses who adore him and love him and one Queen who does also. We are so grateful for all his hard work and determination. We love you!

Grandpa Martinez---What a great Grandpa you are to the girls and how much they love you. They love to come visit you or when you visit us. They always take to you so easily and love to run and jump and play with you/on you. :) I am so thankful for the great dad you have been to me and the wonderful grandpa you are.

Grandpa Cluff- You are a great patriarch of wonderful family. Thank you for rearing such wonderful hard working children, especially, Nelson, who are great fathers, just like you.


Bill- Although you are a new "Papa Bill" in our family, the girls have loved you from the first five minutes they met you. Thank you for being so loving and for loving my mom. We look forward to many more Father's Days with you.

Happy 1st Birthday Sienna!!!!

It seems like only yesterday! I can't believe it has been a year. Sienna is such a doll. From the moment she was born she has been a big cuddler. She loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses. She still does, even at one. I love that about her. She laughs and giggles with the girls, and loves to fold her arms to pray. She loves attention and people laughing at her. When she is tired, and I say "Say night night..." she waves her arm (like bye bye) and I know she is ready for bed. She is the sweetest little spirit. We love her so much and are so glad she is in our family. She loves to make a run for the door as fast as she can when the back door opens. She crawls super speed up the grass to the wood chips...she thinks she is big enough to get on the playset. She loves to play in the girls' jeep and pretend to drive. Although she really loves to ride along when they take her for a ride. She climbs all over their picnic table, and even though she falls off several times, she still thinks she is so big because it is her size. Oh how a year flies. I can't believe it. We threw a big shin-dig party for her and her cousin Brody (turned 1 yesterday). It was a Luau / rodeo. :) Haha. Brandon, Nelson's cousin has a mechanical bull he rents out to parties and stuff. So they set it up in our yard, and you can tell from the pics below how much fun everyone had. The rest of the party was a Luau. Michelle made some great teryaki steaks...check her blog for recipe :)....and we had corn, rice, salad, fruit, drinks, hotdogs, chips, etc. We played limbo, musical chairs, and broke a pinata. I think everyone had a great time. It was really fun. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

Crocs & Toes...

Long time no post...My computer had a terrible virus and we just got it back, so we have missed a few posts. So my sister is a huge fan of crocs....and we are meeting her at Disneyland in August, so she wanted to get the girls crocs with Mickey or Minnie on them. After much discussion, the girls picked their own colors....and love them!!! Even before they came, Mia would tell me everytime I was on the computer..."I want to see the green crocs!".....so I would have to go the website and show her the ones she ordered. (Most of you know, but green is her absolute favorite color!) Sienna was going to get a pair, but it turns out the size 12 was not 12 months, but an actual 12....so she didn't get any. Today though she found Mia's and thought they were great material for teething. :)
Since my birthday is Wed, my friend Camille wanted to get the "glitter toes" for my birthday. I love them. I really wanted to pick a shade of pink, since it is my favorite color, but I decided to go out on a limb and picked a turquoise. I love them! Thank you Camille. The girls watched me get my toes done, and the next morning, as soon as Mia came into my room she said, "Mom, I want to see your toes!" She is so funny!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Nelson and I have been married for 7 years today! I can't believe it. It has been a fast 7 years. We have had a made a lot of memories, laughs, homes, and babies over the last seven years! :) I couldn't have found a better husband. He is always patient and kind to my many personalities. :) ( I am a Gemini-you know!) He is a great dad and a great husband. I can count on one hand how many times we have disagreed...there haven't been many. I actually can't remember any times specifically, but I suppose there have been some. Nelson is a hard worker and will do anything for us or his family. He always is willing to help others however he can no matter what it is. He is very selfless and full of charity. I love him for that and for so many other reasons. I love you Nelson. Happy Anniversary! Heres to a million more! :) (not babies....anniversaries! :)Haha.

Color, Crown, and Blinds

We started this "house" project in April, and are finally getting closer to the finish, but not yet. First,we painted the entire house in one day....well, most of it....a pretty blue/green color that I love. We finally put crown up and framed in the windows in the living room and kitchen, and got new white blinds (different from the pine ones the house came with). We still have to touch up all the crown and windows, and put some decorative crown above the doors, but it is coming along. I think it looks so much better and brightens up the house. We didn't have blinds for 3days and let me tell you, it was sure bright in our house at 5:30am! I am so glad to have blinds again!

Our latest happenings....

Today the girls wore their new dresses their Auntie Angie sent them. They loved them, and could hardly wait to put them on all morning. They looked beautiful. (Sienna didn't get one, she has plenty of dresses....as you can imagine!) For the past week, my friend, Angie, from New York, has been staying with us. She used to lived in Utah, and she was our favorite babysitter, the girls love her. She always watched the girls when we went out for our anniversary...overnight. So Friday, we were lucky enough to go out while she was here to celebrate our 7th anniversary! (Which is actually June 2nd) We went to Ruby River and stuffed ourselves as usual, and then went to Somewhere Inn Time, which we love. It was so fun. Thanks Angie! While we have been playing with Angie this week, we went to Ikea. We got the girls this cute picnic table that was only $20! Can you believe it. Now if the weather would just get better so they can sit at it outside! We have had a fun week!

A Couple of Steps...

The other day, Sienna tried to walk. She does really well walking around the furniture and pushing stuff and walking, but this time she wanted a phone and went for it. She won't try too often. Every now and then we try to get her to do it, and when we are so excited she loves it, but still, she'd rather sit on her little bum or crawl. :) Anyhow, we captured her first couple of attempts....the first was best, but this one isn't too bad. She will be one next month, time flies! Maybe she will be walking by then?

There's Always Next Year....

I was so consumed in my cake decorating, I haven't had a chance to report that we went to the Jazz Playoff game Friday night against the Lakers. It was super fun to go. We went with Kimball and Michelle, which in itself was entertaining of course.I was so excited to go to the game, I fear I am becoming a Utah Jazz fan.... but was disappointed to see them play the first 3 quarters. If you watched the game, you know they were sleeping until the last 2 minutes of the game. I guess it wasn't in the cards this year. It also wasn't in the cards for us to sit any closer than the 6th row from the top..yikes.
I am hoping to get some good tickets next season for a regular game where we can actually hear what is going on on the court. But as for Friday's game, we were lucky to get those seats...truth be told. And we loved it. Too bad they lost, but no matter.....Go Jazz! (Next year of course!)
