Cluff Girl's Reunion

As often as we can....(3 out of the last 4 years) we try to have a girl's reunion on the Cluff Side. My mother in law gets a time share and we all fly to the location or drive...and hang out for a few days. This time we met in Utah on Thursday.

So I flew out Thursday morning, with Ryder. He did really well for his first flight. :)



On the first flight we had the entire row to ourselves, which was super nice, because it was the longest. We flew to denver and then tranferred and went to Salt Lake. The second flight was more croweded, but we lucked out and still had an empty seat by us. Thank goodness. :)

When we arrived in utah, we went to my sister in laws...had a bit of lunch at Paradise Bakery, then met up with some others for pedicures. :)





Then we went to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse...a crowd favorite. Some were coming and going, but all in all, the grand total was 12 of us. Plus 3 baby boys.:)





After dinner, we headed up to Heber, where we were staying. We got our stuff settled in and just talked and visited. It was super fun.

Friday, our plan was to just stay there and hang out and not go anywhere. My sister in law Jane was teaching everyone to knit, so we chatted all day while knitting and playing games. We took a break to swim and sit in the hot tub...but just sat around all day in pjs and ate. :) It was so nice to not have to get dressed or go anywhere.





Ryder and I shared a room and big King size bed with Trina (sis in law) and Ryker, her little boy, who is 6 weeks younger than Ryder. We took pictures of them together and how different they are...Ryder's noggin is about 3x as big. :) ha!

On Saturday, we got up, went to breakfast and went to the outlets in park city. It was a fun time. I didnt shop, my friend Camille met me in Park City and I had lunch with her and her kids and we hung out til it was time to take me to the airport. It was a nice weekend and fun to go back to Utah for a little bit. Even though it felt like I never left.

Happy Halloween!

So this year is all about being resourceful! The girls were all fairies....compliments of Jackie's wedding tutus... :) They actually turned out fabulous as halloween constumes. I think they looked super cute. Ryder was Mickey Mouse...which was super cute with his round little face. It was fun to dress them up...and we got to dress up twice!

Our ward did a Halloween party at church on Friday, so that worked out real well! We had a big pot luck dinner, games and candy in different rooms, then trunk or treating outside! It was lots of fun and tiring! The girls had a good time and enjoyed it. They got tons of candy and still got to go trick or treating on Halloween night to get more.

We missed being in Utah and doing stuff with the Cousins, but we still had a fun Halloween and mom and dad are glad it is over and cant wait until all the candy is gone!!!!!

Baby Boy Today

I love getting out clothes he hasnt worn yet. :) It relieves me of a little stress for now...although I know...one day, I will have to buy more. :)

Ryder's Day

Time flies! Here is my little 5 month old baby boy...jumping up and down in is wonderful jumper. :) He is getting the hang of it and loves it. :) He hung there for a good while and entertained himself. He is such a cutie!




We also gave him a banana to suck on today. It was like gold. He couldn't suck it fast enough! He loved it. Too bad I didn't love cleaning out that mesh bag...whew....hard to get mashed banana out of that thing!

Light the Night

Cardon Healthcare, where Nelson works, joined in the Light the Night Walk, for Leukemia on Sunday night. Since Nelson works in the administrative offices, we felt obligated to attend and walk the 2 miles. It was suppose to start at 7pm, but didnt actually start until 7:30-7:45....there were thousands of people, and we were ushered to stay on the sidewalks, not the street......yeah! You'd think it would have been a little better set up. It was super croweded, you could barely walk, much less for a whole 2 miles. Our kids normally go to bed at 8pm, so they were tired, hungry, and cranky....besides the baby needed to be fed. So needless to say, we walked about 1/4 of mile and turned towards the car....yes....how awful are we that we skipped out on a benefit walk for sick kids. I felt a little guilty, but what can we say? It was so late....we were pooped! At least we were there for a little bit!
It is a great cause and great charity. With or without our walking contribution.

Our Halloween House?

Every year we make a spooky house out of graham crackers and halloween candy. This year, we decided to make one, but only use what we had around the house. (and not have to buy a bunch of candy). So we ended up making a house out of rice krispie treats. Then I covered it in chocolate frosting I already had. We used kix, cheerios, and dora cereal, a few marshmallows, chocolate mini wheat cereal, and nooodles to decorate. There was a whole lot less "eating" if you will while we decorated, and the girls still had lots of fun. I guess you dont need to spend lots of money to have fun. It may not be as cute as usual, but we has just as much fun. ;)

A Pumpkin of a Day!

Today was a fun day for us. It was the Fall Festival at Jayda and Halle's school. So we dressed up in our Halloween gear and headed over at 11am for the festivities.

Everything there was free, so that was nice. We started with our family photo. Then we let the girls "bob" or "grab" really...for apples..."yay! Everyone was a winner!" :) Then they tossed apples in baskets. Again....everyone a winner. :)










After that, we headed over to the air slide, which was too crowded with parents not watching their children. A bunch of kids were being super rowdy and not really letting other kids through to slide....so we only did that once....





After the over-rated slide, we got to paint ceramic pumpkins, then took a fun hayride around the school.:) It was fun for the girls and Nelson and I had a good timet too.

Later I came home to do my last baking for the week, and possibly for awhile. I made mini pumpkin bites (pies) for my lesson in Relief Society tomorrow. I, of course got the recipe from Bakerella...and it wasnt too hard, just very time consuming....
Anyways, now it is bedtime and I am pooped. We had a fun day, but now we must rest for the sabbath!

Enrichment Treats

My friend Jamie and I were in charge of a presentation on Christmas treats and ideas for neighbor/ friend gifts. It was fun to do, but we both baked for about 3 days. We made all kinds of treats and decorated them for a table display. Plus we made extra for samples. I made mint truffles, the best chocolate chip cookies :), english toffee, and candied popcorn. She made peppermint brownies, candied apples, cookie pops, and something I dont know the name of. :) (It was vanilla almond bark with crushed up candycanes and oreos in side....just broken into pieces...yum). Overall it was super cute and super fun. There was a big turn out and we raffled off all our decorated bags and gifts. Everyone loved our tasty treats and even though it was lots of fun....wooh! We are glad it is over. :) Here are a few pics of my stuff....she took a pic of the tables....I will upload later when I get a copy.
