Jayda's Piano Recital

Jayda has been taking piano for over a year and half. (Since she was five). She is soooo talented and naturally amazing at it. She has had 4 different piano teachers (that is including me) and has not had a chance to have a recital until now. This was her first one. We were so proud of her...she was amazing. Trip to Miami

On December 17th, my sister finally graduated from college. After many years (15) of going off and on and working in between...she finished! Yay! My mom, Ryder, and I flew to Miami for a short trip to celebrate with her. We flew out on Wed, the 16th and came home on Friday the 18th. We had so much fun!

On Wednesday, we didnt arrive in Miami until 9:30 pm, so we didnt have much we could do. We just went to my sister's apartment, ate some snacks, and talked until 1am (midnight our time). It was fun, except for the part of sweating at the airport...yes....sweating in the 80 degree weather....yuck! It was humid and hot....blgh!

So Thursday was the big day, so we had to get up early to go to the arena on UM (University of Miami) to get her there on time and go to our box seats...yep...box seats...FANTASTIC.

We were excited to see some of our family there and Angie's friends. Of course they all oohed and ahhed over Ryder....which was fun. :) He really enjoyed it. The graduation was really good, the guest Alumni speaker was "The Rock," yes, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who did indeed graduation from UM...with as my sister will remind everyone....with the same degree as hers..."General Studies."

Then we went to the most fantastic place to eat...oh, my mouth waters thinking of it. :) "Houstons" oh, they have the best hamburgers I have ever had, and that isnt even what I ordered, I ordered a salad, which was divine. We sat and visited for a couple of hours and it was very fun. (BTW, "The Rock" ate there too, he left before we got seated...and I missed him...because I was in the bathroom:( ) It was so yummy!

Then later we went to my cousin Alina's house for a graduation party she was throwing for my sister. There were about 30 people there and again....yummy food, cooked by her chef!

She lives in a beautiful house on the bay in Miami Beach....and just looking at the pictures, they look like it is a fake background..but nope...it is her back yard! Gorgeous! We had so much fun seeing our family and eating such yummy food. Ryder was so good and everyone couldnt get enough of him. One lady even took a picture of just his hair because she thought it was so cute. :) Well, he is a looker if I do say so myself. :) It was so much fun!We are excited for the fun festivities of Christmas this coming week with Auntie Angie, Nana, Pappa Bill, Grandma, and 2 Grandpas. :)

Sunday Fun

Today we all seemed to match by chance...at least us girls. :) It was also our Christmas program at church, so we wanted to look festive. ;)

Ward Christmas Party and Visitors from the North Pole

Today was our ward Christmas Party. It was, of course, yummy food, a program about Christ, and a visit from Santa. None of our girls have ever wanted to go sit on Santa's lap...so We let Ryder, since he doesnt know the difference. :)



Overall, it was fun. Then when came home to two more visitors from the North pole...




Grandma and Grandpa. They were stopping in to visit on their way to Pick up Jackie and Keith (sister-in-law and hubby) from the airport. They also brought us a box of 12 days of Christmas....the girls are so excited. ;) Thanks grandma and grandpa. :) We love you.

Turkey Weekend

We went to Broaddus, Texas for Thanksgiving to spend the weekend with my mom and stepdad. It was super fun. The girls were excited to go and see their Nana and Pappa Bill....so we headed out Wed night after a few stops of last minute things. (Stores there are about 45 min away). We got to Nana's house at about 9 or 9:30....we could spot her house from the road all lit up and decorated for Christmas! Darn it...I wish I would have taken a picture, it was really cute and the girls loved it. Thanksgiving day, of course was the best food...my mom makes the best dressing ever...ohhhh...I can taste it melting in my mouth...I ate it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner until we left. Yum. (and gained 2 lbs....well worth it!)We had delicious food, yummy pies, and did I mention dressing? The girls of course, dont remember the food, but they remember doing stuff with Nana and Pappa Bill. They decorated Nana's tree, played 5000, had a coloring contest, put their name on stockings with glitter, went on a hayride, and well...just had fun. My Aunt and Uncle came and also my cousin Christie and her family. We had a great time and already miss Nana. Good thing she is coming for Christmas too. Our house will be full and we are so excited.

A Few Things....

Nelson starting doing this with Ryder at church in the hall and he just giggled histerically! It is sooo funny. I told Nelson, he must have seen you doing it from Heaven and couldn't wait to get his turn. He loves it!!! (be sure and pause music at very bottom of page first!:)
