Ryder's Blessing Day

Today we woke up and got dressed, took the kids to my neighbor's house to get pictures, and then blessed Ryder at our house. Since Nelson's family was in town, we decided to bless him at home, because several of them were leaving saturday night and sunday morning. It was a wonderful blessing. Nelson did a great job. There was a special spirit in our home as we blessed him, and I know Heavenly Father was pleased. It was really neat to do it here, and to have all our family here, including my mom and stepdad. We took a few pictures and then some of us went to the roadhouse for lunch. Later we went and hung out at Carolee's to visit with the family for one last time. It has been a long week and a half since Ryder was born. It has been so fun and very busy, but it seems like months ago he joined our family. We have been so blessed.

Jackie's Wedding Festivities

After my sister left on Tuesday, we still had a lot of stuff going on around here. Thursday, as you can read the post below, was Jayda's graduation from Kindergarten. It was also the beginning of Jackie and Keith's wedding. After the graduation, we drove up to Logan, to go to a dinner at Keith's parent's house. It was catered by GoodWood BBQ and there were several blow up jumping toys and things for the kids to play on. It was super fun. All of Nelson's family came into town (He has 13 brothers and sisters). All were here except the youngest, who is on a mission. We all stayed the night in Logan and went to the temple Friday morning at 10am for their sealing. It was really a great ceremony and Jackie looked beautiful. After the ceremony, we had lunch at Emmalee's (thanks Em!) and drove back home to get ready for the reception. The reception was amazing. It was beauitful. It was in Nick and Corie's backyard. All the kids had to dress alike and the adults had an assigned wardrobe too. I didnt take a lot of pictures, because the photographer took most of them, and we can get them from her. So there arent a lot on here to see, but there will be later. We hung out and saw lots of old friends and family, and then went home to rest for the next day.

Jayda's Kindergarten Graduation

Today Jayda graduated from Kindergarten. I can't believe it. Her Graduation was so cute! Her teacher, Mrs. Lemmon is amazing and so wonderful. The kids walked in with cute little caps and gowns on, and lined up. They each went around and said their favorite thing about Kindergarten. Then they all recited the poem "Oh the Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss. After the poem, they sang a song to the tune of "New York, New York" except with different words "1st Grade, 1st Grade!" It was soooooo adorable. Then we watched a slide show she made of the entire year. I can't believe how amazing it was. After the graduation we had refreshments in the classroom and collected books the teacher compiled for them throughout the year, complete with pictures and a copy of the slide show!
I can't believe how on top of things she is! I am so sad Halle can't have her next year. Jayda was so cute. When it was time to go, Mrs. Lemmon hugged her and loved her and told her she would do great next year in Texas and will be the smartest girl in the class. It was a great graduation, and sad too. So many things we will miss here.

A week of fun and photos

Today my sister went home, back to Miami....and we had a lot of fun while she was here...even if she got sick with a cold and super tired from the chitlins wearing her out. :) She has a super expensive professional camera and took lots of pictures of the girls. Here are a few glimpses of our week. Heavenly Father has truly blessed me... just look at my family!

Jayda's Field Day

Today was also field day for Jayda at school. This morning, before breakfast at the IHOP, she went and ran in a race at school...about .8 miles. She was so excited to go and didnt even know anyone...but insisted on running it. She did so good! Then later she had a bunch of activites to do with her class and Nelson and Sienna (who both watched this morning) also went and watched her this afternoon. She threw a ball at a teacher in a dunk tank and dunked her on the first try. She joined the bike rodeo, competed in relay races. She ran a 4 man 400 and got first place! She ran the first leg. She is so cute! I am so glad she loves to run and do things. She did so good! Great job Jayda!

Ryder Nelson Cluff

I went to the hospital at 7:30 am to be induced on Wed, the 20th. Dr. Jones came in about 8am and broke my water. About 9 I had an epidural and was loving life! Then the nurses started to up the pitossin, which started causing Ryder's heartbeat to drop, so they couldnt up it too much.....we werent sure what was bothering him, so it took me a lot longer to contract and dialate, since I had such a low dose of pit. About 1pm, when I usually deliver, I was a 5...still waiting. His heartbeat was doing better so they upped the pit again.....and finally at 3:53 he was born. :) He was posterier, (facing up instead of down) and the cord was around his neck....which is why his heartbeat kept dropping. But we have an excellent doctor and it was no problem! He was born happy and healthy and super cute! Here are the last few days of our lives...on slide! Enjoy!

More sewing....

My best friend from high school delivered twin girls on Friday...and another friend from college is having her first girl after 5 boys...in June...so I wanted to make them some fun girly stuff for their new babies...Both live in Texas,...so I made them some burp clothes for their sweet baby girls! (and a couple for me and Trina who are having boys!) I think they are super cute. :)

My Book Group

Tonight my wonderful book club reviewed this book, "Small Change, the secret life of Penny Buford." It is a great book with a wonderful message.

"It's what you do with it that counts."

It may be my last book club I get to attend before we move, so it was really sad, because I have gotten to know those ladies and we have all become friends. They are so much fun to visit with and talk books.....and they are so wonderful, because tonights meeting was also a surprise baby shower for me. :) They brought me some wonderful and adorable little boy things. I am going to miss all these wonderful friends and our ward family here.
