Future Missionaries?

Today we went to a Birthday/ Farewell party for Sister Ireland, a missionary in our ward. Ben and Pam had a party for her and Charles, a guy who was recently baptized into the church. Charles birthday was today, Sis. Ireland's is tomorrow, and then she goes home Wed.


Some members of the ward came over (to Ben and Pam's) and cooked all day (ribs and chicken)...it was so good. Pam made a bunch of things and I made the cake of course. (It was just a simple cake, but HUGE). :)



We had a good time getting to know more people. The girls had fun with the sisters and well...kept trying on their nametags. :) I can't really complain about that. Don't they look so cute? :) Maybe one day....

3 Years Old!


Just 3 short years ago today my little Sienna was born. From the moment she was born I could tell she was lighter than the others. Her hair was just a bit lighter than the other girls who were all born with black hair. Even from an early early age, she was always a love bug. She cuddled constantly...even before you would think she was old enough. But she did. She loved to be held and cuddled. Which explains a lot now. Just 7 days before she was born, we moved into our house on Leslie Circle. I cant believe moving didn't put me into labor, but she came when she was suppose to, at 1:23pm she weighed 7 lbs 13 oz. Her eyes looked for sure like they would be blue, but they ended up brown.

What a sweet little strong spirit she has been for 3 years! :) We love her so much! Thanks for coming to our family sweet bean! We love you!

Our Day of Fun

This morning, we had a yummy breakfast with Nana and Bill before they left, and played around. Ryder played with Elmo for awhile. :) My cousin Alina, gave these to the girls like 4 years ago, and now Ryder get to play with him. Nothing if funnier than a giggling Elmo!





Later we went to the pool and enjoyed the sunny weather, which we haven't seen for almost a week! It was nice and warm outside, although the pool water was cold from the rain! But even Ryder liked it!



After some naps and preparations for Sunday, we went to Target and let the Sienna spend her Birthday money from Grandpa (and me too). She got a pink Scooter. :) She loves it! Thanks Grandpa!



We had a fun Saturday! It has been a good weekend.

Sienna's 3rd Birthday

Sunday, the 13th is Sienna's actual birthday, but we celebrated today, so all the grandparents could come. It was so fun. We decorated the house so she could wake up to something fun. Then we went to the store to get a few things and got some breakfast donuts. The Ladies in the balloon department gave us some free balloons they were tired of looking at. (2 potatos and 1 corn, and 4 or 5 latex balloons!) We were so happy for their generosity! Sienna kept calling the potato balloons her "mini wheat" balloons....guess you can tell what cereal she eats the most of. :)



Jayda, Halle, and Mia had swim lessons, so we went to that, and Papa Bill and Nana met us there so they could watch the girls swim. Then we came home and had yummy chicken tacos for lunch. We diddled around Walmart and then came home to get ready for the party. Grandpa Martinez, Abuelita Laura, Tia Renata, and their little niece Marienna (a friend of the girls' from Tomball) came at around 6, and Grandpa and Grandma Cluff came around 6:30. We had a yummy dinner and then had a few more friends come over with their kids to break a pinata and play. Sienna wanted a Dora party, so I made her a purse cake with Dora on it. She loved it.




She got lots of fun presents for her birthday.

She loved it all and had so much fun. We had a great day. Everyone kept asking her how old she was, but she knew her birthday wasn't until Sunday, so she said, "2!" She is so funny. She was soooo very tired by the time we got to cake and presents, but she was a good sport. We are so lucky to have her in our family! Happy Birthday Sienna! We had a fun party!

I know I have posted some of these I have made before, but I really like some of the ribbon I used this time and of course I tried something new....They were for a friend's baby shower today.

Swimming Lessons

Jayda, Halle, and Mia started swimming lessons today. They did so good. Jayda and Halle were in the same class, but Jayda was quickly moved up, because she basically can already swim. The girls love going to the pool and going to class. It is so fun for them...they have never had lessons before, so they are enjoying them. Sienna wishes she could go, but she isn't old enough. Next year!

Happy Anniversary to Me!!!!!

9 Years ago today I was at the temple being sealed for time and all eternity to my sweetie. It seems like yesterday, and I cant believe it was really 9 years ago. Could it be? 9 Years, 10 addresses, 6 pregnancies, 5 kids, 3 states, 2 step-parents, and one business ago? Yep. And that is not the least of it.

From the very beginning, Heavenly Father had a plan for me and Nelson. We would never have met if I had not gone on a mission. But with a several nudges from Heavenly Father and a few thousand prayers from Ben and Pam, we met. And now we are living Happily Ever After.

Our 9 years has been full of so many blessings. We have been lucky to live by almost all of our family at one point or another...and that is saying something...because that includes Nelson's 13 brothers and sisters! Who else can say that? We have been blessed to take a few trips here and there. We have 5 wonderful little angels (sometimes not so angelic :) in our home. We have always been blessed to have help when we needed it and be able to provide help when we can. We have had plenty ups and downs, and I am so thankful to say that they have only been experiences and not ups and downs in our marriage. We have never had a full on fight, or disagreement. In 9 years. Even from before we were married, we have just tried to keep both of our wills regarding our marriage and family aligned with Heavenly Father's. And over the years, it has blessed us.

Time goes by. Sometimes so fast, I don't know if I blinked, and sometimes so slow, I am sure it is on pause. But every moment, Nelson has been my hubby, my friend, and the love of my life.

What more can I ever ask for?

Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to go visit my mom and Bill for Memorial Day weekend. For one, Nelson had monday off, so we could use the extra day, and two, we needed to take her some stuff and bring some of my (old)stuff back. Saturday, the girls had a primary activity at the Primary President's house. It was super hot, so luckily there were lots of water toys, popsicles, water, balloons, watermelon, and MUD. :) At first the girls were hesitant, of course...mud? But then they were okay playing in the 'brown' water...probably because it was sooooo hot.








Right after the primary activity, we headed to Nana's house. When we got there, we ate some yummy BBQ and played some croquet. The girls loved it! Even Ryder.... he wanted to play too. :) Sunday we went to church with my mom and then watched some movies. Monday, another game of Croquet, visited with a friend, more yummy food off the grill...then home to organize the garage and help Ben and Pam dig a hole for a flag pole.








We had a great weekend and are now settling in for the summer...no school and 5 kids at home ALL day. So far today, we have started off yelling and screaming, fighting, pouting, hitting, and one bloody nose. Can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds!
