Visiting my mom...

This weekend while Nelson left for Washington to work, we went and visited my mom in Broaddus, Texas. What can I say, it is way out in the boonies....my phone didnt have service at all, there is no high speed internet, and the closest walmart is an hour away. It was acutally a fun weekend, even without all the necessities. :)We headed out to Nana's house on Friday morning....and it was actually a beautiful 3 hour drive. I put new songs on my ipod, and let me tell you the world of difference it made driving somewhere....the girls watched a movie and I just sang to my heart's content. :)Ryder looked super cute if I do say so! Nana thought so too.



We hung out on Friday and had a yummy dinner. Then on Saturday we went to the zoo, which was actually really fun. It was a small zoo, but it was all shady, and although it was shady, it was still hot...but it was fun. They had cute animals and a fun little train to ride.

Sunday, we went to church with my mom at her branch. It was really neat to go to a branch and attend church in a house with 40 people! What a neat experience. The girls did really good in sacrament and then we went to Primary, because Nana is the President...and there turned out to be way more visitors than the 4-6 kids she is used to. So we had 12 and it was a full out party of sorts. (In other words, a long two hours) :) But it was fun. Ryder was adorable too. :) (He is just now plumping up to fit into all his other clothes...so all these pictures are of him in these clothes for the 1st time!) :)




We went back to my moms and my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin came over and visited with us. We had a fun weekend and really enjoyed staying with Nana and Papa Bill!

Thursday, Ben went to Nashville for work, so we went to College Station to play with Pam. On Thursday we went to Gattitown, which was so much fun. It it a pretty big buffet of pizza, salads, pasta, and baked potato bar. They have rooms with tvs and cartoons on, and then you can go play on the games, like Chuck E Cheese. We all had loads of fun. :) Those games suck you in. We got stuck playing one you have to push the button to stop on exactly 1000...... (and you get 150 tickets)...we spent most of our quarters on that one..right Pam? The closest we go was 1001....that was Jayda. :) sienna had some teeth coming in, so she was a little whiney, but she really enjoyed riding the carousel...that is all she wanted to ride. :)Oh, and they had the biggest crane/toy game I have ever seen...it wasnt working, but it was huge!It was super fun. On Friday we went to the Blue Bell Ice Creamery to get a tour, but they were too busy, so we will go back another time...so we enjoyed some Blue Bell from the local gas station. :) Next we headed to Bounce....a blow of air toy place (like Kangaroo Zoo) and the girls were entertained for all of 20 minutes! It was a waste of money since they didn't play long, but I was happy to go, because it smelled of little kid sweat really bad. :)








So after those friday adventures, we called it a night with the kids. We went back to Pam's for a yummy dinner and then Nelson and I went to watch Ice Age in 3D...super fun. It was a nice needed break, even if it was a cartoon...it was actually really cute. Ben was home when we got back and we watched the usual episode of Raymond and went to bed. Saturday we had a yummy breakfast and went to see GForce in 3D. The girls are having fun with the 3D...well except Mia, she doesnt like to put the glasses on...she gets a little scared of the 3D. :) It is funny. GForce was a cute movie, maybe more for adults or boys, but it was still cute. Later we went with Ben and Pam to their ward picnic which was fun, but super hot. Then we headed back home to Tomball. It was a fun weekend.

Halle's Kindergarten Day

Today Halle and I went on her "Kindergarten day" which I do with my kids when they are first going to school. Last year Jayda and I did it, and it was so much fun. Today, Halle and I went to lunch at the Olive Garden. It was fun to sit and visit with her and just enjoy each other's company. After lunch, we went to Target to get her some school clothes. She was happy to look at clothes, but kept asking to go get her backpack. That is really all she wanted. :) So we finally made it back to the backpacks and she knew right away which one she wanted. She wore it around the store the rest of the time and just loves it.
Halle is the easy one when it comes to clothes. She isnt too picky, just says what she likes and agrees with me 99% of the time. After one store, I said, "should we go to Kohls,or just go home" she said, "let's just go home." I am sure in years to come that will change. But for now, even the little bit of shopping we did was fun because we were together. I can't believe she is old enough for kindergarten already!

Adorable Burp Rags

One of the ladies in my ward makes these burp rags for all the women who have had babies. I am so thankful she made me some too. :) I love them! I told her to sell them to deseret book!!!! She also is making a blanket, which I will post later. Aren't they cute!

A Fun Few Days!

Tuesday, we went to College Station to stay a few days with Ben and Pam, since Pam's birthday was Wednesday. We got up there about lunch time Tuesday afternoon and visited with Pam, tried to blow up the kiddie pool, took a trip to Wal-mart, and played games. It was fun.

Wednesday was her actual birthday so after she had lunch with a friend and we got ready, we went to the mall, let the kids jump on the bungee thing, and ate dinner at the Texas Roadhouse.
It was lots of fun. Happy Birthday Pam, you ride a saddle like a bird with to-go box wings! :) ha! We went back to her house, played games, and had cake and icecream.
Today we got up and she watched the girls for us while we went to see Harry Potter. They went and saw lots of wild animals and played at McDonalds. It was a fun trip. We hope Pam had a great birthday! Happy Birthday Grandma! We sure had fun.

Happy 4th of July!

Lately we have done a lot of the same things. This weekend Ben and Pam came down Friday afternoon to join us for our "usual" playing games and swimming.
We had fun cooling off from the humidity and then we went to where else, The Texas Roadhouse to eat dinner. We came back and played games until 1am...yikes....It was fun. Saturday we woke up, had breakfast, played more games, hung out, watched movies, played more games, had a fabulous dinnner, played more games, and ended the night with fireworks. It was a fun relaxed weekend. We all missed Utah, where we are comfortable and know where the parties and fireworks are, but we are adjusting to the Texan way of things too.
This week we plan to sleep. :) Hopefully!
