A Fun Few Days!

Tuesday, we went to College Station to stay a few days with Ben and Pam, since Pam's birthday was Wednesday. We got up there about lunch time Tuesday afternoon and visited with Pam, tried to blow up the kiddie pool, took a trip to Wal-mart, and played games. It was fun.

Wednesday was her actual birthday so after she had lunch with a friend and we got ready, we went to the mall, let the kids jump on the bungee thing, and ate dinner at the Texas Roadhouse.
It was lots of fun. Happy Birthday Pam, you ride a saddle like a bird with to-go box wings! :) ha! We went back to her house, played games, and had cake and icecream.
Today we got up and she watched the girls for us while we went to see Harry Potter. They went and saw lots of wild animals and played at McDonalds. It was a fun trip. We hope Pam had a great birthday! Happy Birthday Grandma! We sure had fun.

Happy 4th of July!

Lately we have done a lot of the same things. This weekend Ben and Pam came down Friday afternoon to join us for our "usual" playing games and swimming.
We had fun cooling off from the humidity and then we went to where else, The Texas Roadhouse to eat dinner. We came back and played games until 1am...yikes....It was fun. Saturday we woke up, had breakfast, played more games, hung out, watched movies, played more games, had a fabulous dinnner, played more games, and ended the night with fireworks. It was a fun relaxed weekend. We all missed Utah, where we are comfortable and know where the parties and fireworks are, but we are adjusting to the Texan way of things too.
This week we plan to sleep. :) Hopefully!

What we do all day....

Today we played with Taryn (my sister's best friend) and her kids. She has three kids, Olivia (6), Will (4), and Michael (1 1/2).
We ate lunch at Chick-Filet so the kids could play at the play thing, then we went swimming. It was fun. We had a great time playing them. The girls have enjoyed swimming everyday. The never need baths I guess. :) Today I got to get in the pool with them....the Texas heat is more bearable when you are swimming in it.

Twins!

My Best friend in high school, Kim, just had twins the friday before Ryder was born. She had twin girls, Hailey Nicole and Maddison Michelle. They are so cute. I got to see them and hold them today and it was so much fun. :) Hopefully the next time I hold baby twins, they will be mine! ;) (but not for a couple of years)!


Someone gave here two of these cute little dolls. The stacked up diapers on top of a wipes box...put a dress on it, made the head out of a towel, made the arms out of a diaper, put a head band on it and shoes. It was so cute.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Today I got to sleep in. The first time in over a month! It was so nice. Then we all got dressed and ate lunch at Panera Bread. It is exactly the same at the St. Louis Bread Co. Panera Bread owns the St. Louis Bread co., so when I saw it, I was so excited! They have the exact same menu and everything as the St. Louis Bread Co. So we had a wonderful lunch, then we came home and the girls and Nelson went swimming and I went and got a manicure and pedicure for my birthday. It was so nice. Then Ryder and I went to the store and got some groceries and just sat at home. We ate pizza for dinner and watched a movie! It is the first time I have sat down for an extended period of time, since giving birth. :)(not counting the drive from utah to texas). Overall it was a great low key birthday, which is exactly what I needed! Happy Birthday to Me!

Our Trip To Orange, Texas

Yesterday we left for Orange, where my mom's side of the family all live. We were having some what a big family reunion. It was super fun. We met at a pool where the girls swam for over 3 hours! Thank goodness for life jackets! All our cousins, second cousins, and probably some third cousins were all there. My cousin Becky and her family were here from Indiana, and another cousin Kelly and her family came from South Carolina. It was a lot of fun! Today we hung out and visited, took a trip to Wal-mart, as usual....and then ate some yummy mexican food before coming back home. It was a lot of fun to see our cousins and family and we are happy to live a little closer to them now...maybe we will see them more often!

From Utah to Texas and Everywhere in between

Well, we left our home on Wednesday, June 10th at 6am. It was sad. Part of me thinks I tricked myself to think we are going on a trip, because I thought I would bawl more when leaving. I got teary eyed and brushed it away. I tried to stay away from the sadness as much as possible and only think of good things. Leaving Utah was very sad for our family. We will miss so many people and things. But now we have a great place to visit. So we left out and headed for our first stop in Albuquerque. We planned on getting there at 5 or 6 so the girls could swim.
We did get there around that time, but the wind was blowing hard and the pool (as are all down south) was outside...and the heater was broken. So it was cold! The girls didnt care, they swam for a bit and Nelson stayed clear of even the splashes, it was too cold! After they had enough, we went and showered and ate at the Cracker Barrel for dinner. We were so tired we could barely function. So after dinner, we went straight to bed. We woke up again at 5 to leave by 6...missed breakfast at the hotel because it starts at 6:30...Jayda was sad.....she likes their breakfast...so do I. So we left again and headed for Stephenville....the town I went to college in.
I have lots of friends still there and lots of favorite places to eat, so we wanted to visit there. We got there around 6:30 and went to my friend Kristi's house.

Kristi and I were best friends since 6th grade. It was so fun to see her and her hubby who was my friend in college as well. We got to meet her little girl, Kenzie, who is Jayda's age. The girls had so much fun with her and her parents!
We went to eat at Montana's, where they serve Dublin Dr. Pepper and the yummiest cheese fries! It was soooo good!

After dinner, we went to visit one of my friends from church, Jackie and Wes. They have two little boys, Colt and Dane...who are so cute! Colt is the second ranked best golfer in Texas for his age!!! (Which is 11). Amazing! It was so fun to catch up with them and visit....so after a bit, we headed back to our hotel and crashed!
Friday we planned to just play....we went swimming for a couple of hours, and Kenzie came over and swam too.
Then we went to lunch at the yummy Chicken Express...had more dublin dr. pepper, then took the girls to Fossil Rim, a drive through zoo if you will. The girls had so much fun.

So did we..... So after Fossil Rim, it was time to head to Grandma and Grandpa's house in College Station, which was about 3 hours away. It seemed like a short drive compared to the days before. We got there about 6:30 and had a delicious dinner...home cooked..which after 3 days of eating out was super good! We visited for awhile, and then off to bed again! Saturday we drove over to my dad's, where we are now living, and unloaded the truck and trailer. We had about 6 guys from our new ward...which was so nice...Ben,Nick, Kimball, and Pam. It was so helpful! Nick and Kimball drove down our moving truck and trailer....it was soooo nice! We owe them big time! Thank you Nick and Kimball!!! (and their wives) After a fast hour of unloading and lots of sweat....we finally got it all out and in the house/garage. Then we went to Chiles for lunch to celebrate Sienna's Birthday!!! It was fun to have lunch together with Ben and Pam, Nick and Kimball.

We had a great time...and it was sad to say goodbye. We headed to our new home, finished unpacking, got some groceries then off to bed again! Sunday we woke up, got ready for church and headed out to our 11am ward. Although we were so tired still, 11am is so much nicer than our previous 9am. Our ward is amazing. Everyone had already been emailed we were coming (apparently new move ins are rare and we are big entertainment!) They had it all together and welcomed us so well! The girls had a little adjustment to primary, but by the end of church, they were so happy and excited and had so much fun! Little Sienna must not have been aware of the change, I think she thought we were still in Utah just sitting in a different spot, because right after sacrament, as usual...she took off...ran down the hall to nursery...until she realized her class was not in the same spot...(the bldg is layed out different) It was funny...Nelson said, "I think she expects to see Elle in there." (our old neighbor). We really like our new ward, everyone is so friendly and excited for our family to be here. Tonight we are having cake and ice cream and for Sienna's birthday. It was been a fun few days and a fun trip. Now we are just tired and need a break or maybe a really long nap!

For Time and All Eternity

Today is Me and Nelson's 8th Anniversary. I can hardly believe we have been married for that long, although it feels like just yesterday. We have had such a great marriage and Heavenly Father has blessed us more than we probably deserve. We have five beautiful children and a great family all over the US. :) I can count the number of disagreements we have had on one hand. Heavenly Father brought us together in a unique way, because we are perfect for each other. There is no one else I would want to spend eternity with.

This day has been full of special blessings. My mom and step dad were sealed today in the Draper temple. What an amazing blessing to be sealed by the priesthood authority to someone forever, not just for time. As we sat in the temple, I couldnt help but have tears of joy. They were for so many reasons. For the wonderful husband and marriage I have, for my mom finally recieving the most important ordiance on earth, for my sweet babies, who I love so much and could never survive without. I feel like the most blessed person in the world. So now Nelson and I get to share our anniversary with my mom and her hubby.
So for our anniversary, we all went to dinner at Tucanos. Luckily we had two free birthday dinners since mine and Sienna's are this month. :) It worked out great! We had a good time! Happy Anniverary Mom and Bill!
