More sewing....

My best friend from high school delivered twin girls on Friday...and another friend from college is having her first girl after 5 boys...in June...so I wanted to make them some fun girly stuff for their new babies...Both live in Texas,...so I made them some burp clothes for their sweet baby girls! (and a couple for me and Trina who are having boys!) I think they are super cute. :)

My Book Group

Tonight my wonderful book club reviewed this book, "Small Change, the secret life of Penny Buford." It is a great book with a wonderful message.

"It's what you do with it that counts."

It may be my last book club I get to attend before we move, so it was really sad, because I have gotten to know those ladies and we have all become friends. They are so much fun to visit with and talk books.....and they are so wonderful, because tonights meeting was also a surprise baby shower for me. :) They brought me some wonderful and adorable little boy things. I am going to miss all these wonderful friends and our ward family here.

Lunch with Mom's

Today Jayda also got to have lunch with "mom" at school today. Since they only go to school half a day for kindergarten, they get to twice a year eat in the cafeteria. Once was during Thanksgiving last year, and then today with Mom's. It was fun to go eat lunch with her. I can't believe she will be in all day school next year! :(

Yearly Tulip Pictures

Every year we take pictures at the temple when the tulips are up. I love these pictures and am sad to think this will be the last time we take them at Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Hopefully they plant tulips at the Houston Temple! :) The girls enjoy taking pictures, all except usually the little one. :) I did good to get one of Sienna. I think they all came out great and just love them!

This picture was too cute!

Mother's Day

Since Nelson and I do not live near either one of our mother's, we spent this mother's day with our friends. The day started with presents in bed from the girls. Pictures they drew, a card, a candy bar (just what I need :), and some cash. :) Yep, cash, for earrings I want, but they couldn't find. :) Ha! Nelson is getting me a pedicure later in the week, so I will have pretty toes when Ryder comes next week. :) We got dressed, went to church, and came home and had a great lunch outside with our friends Maile, Cliff, Camille, and Griffin. Nelson cleaned up, and even mopped and swept the floor for me this go round. We talked to both of our mother's a few other relatives and my grandmother. It was a great day. In the end, I felt loved, and loved all the gifts and things the girls made for me. But really, it isnt about one day. Its about every day. That is why I love this quote.

Happy Mother's Day to Everyone! Esp. my mom who is the best mom in the entire world and my mother in law who is so very special! Next year, maybe we can all be together. :)

"Mother's Who Know Do Less"
Mothers who know do less. They permit less of what will not bear good fruit eternally. They allow less media in their homes, less distraction, less activity that draws their children away from their home. Mothers who know are willing to live on less and consume less of the world's goods in order to spend more time with their children-more time eating together, more time working together, more time reading together, more time talking, laughing, singing, and exemplifying. These mothers choose carefully and do not try to choose it all. Their goal is to prepare a rising generation for children who will take the gospel of Jesus Chrsit into the entire world. Their goals is to prepare future fathers and mothers who will be builders of the Lord's kindgom for the next 50 years. That is influence, that is power.

Halle's Got Skills

I went outside today to see our neighbor, Alex, helping Halle ride Jayda's bike down our hill in the backyard...just grass. She was doing pretty good....so we went out to the road....she picked it up super fast. She is still learning her stops, but she is doing great! I can't believe she just did it....what a smart little girl!

Here is a video of her on one of the first few times she tried...she rides even better than this already! Good Job Halle Bug! :)

My Lilac Bush

It is so beautiful, I will miss it.
