Halloween & Auntie Angie

We had a fun, low key Halloween with a new baby! The kids had great costume this year and Nelson gets credit for the idea of old people! We also had fun watching them at the school parade!

Taking Nana Apple Picking

This is the first day I attempted to get out and do stuff. While my abilitie are still limited.....and the kids were home today...I could get out and drive around. I am not able to lift things yet, so couldn't put baby girl in her car seat and in the van...but the kids can. We attempted to go to Sonic while Nana got her hair cut.....although another disappointment for our NY sonic... I sat there for 25 minutes without anyone even taking my order. (Yes, I pushed the button...twice). We finally left and went to a gas station with good ice. :/

After that, we went apple picking...well, I sat in the car. But since it is the end of the season, we didn't have a lot of options, but Nana had never been apple picking...so we found a place still open with a few apples! 

Anyways, we had a decent day, and although I didn't do much....was still quite sore. :/ Can't wait to feel normal again. 

Scarlet Angela

Scarlet Angela joined our family on Wednesday, Septemeber 30th at 8:44 am. She was a certain shock to me! I thought for sure we were having a boy. Although we planned to not find out, it was sooooo fun not knowing and soooo fun being wrong! I couldn't believe it when they said "Its a Girl!" It took me a few minutes to wrap my head around it! I loved it! If we have any more ( I don't know at this point so don't ask) I will definitley not find out.

Scarlet came into this world my biggest baby yet! 9 lbs 6 oz. 20 inches long. Although for two weeks we planned to have a regular induced delivery, Heavenly Father had other plans. It was a long two weeks for me, I had 4 appointments and several checks only to discover I was not dialating at all. It was super slow and the baby was really high up. Nothing was happening and I was so miserable. I really didn't want to have another c section, but odds seems that was the way it was heading. By my last appointment, the day before I turned 40 weeks....I decided if I wasn't dialated enough then c section for sure. That Heavenly Father was in charge and that would be the determing factor. At my appoinment, I was still not progressing enough that the Dr. felt good inducing me. So we scheduled the c section.

A 2nd c section, although not my favorite way of delivering, wasn't so bad since I knew what to expect. The recovery is tough and not easy, but our little Angel was being watched over. The reason she wasn't dropping was that the cord was around her neck twice. Oh how I thank my Heavenly Father for watching over me. I knew He had a hand in it, whatever the reasons, and am so grateful for that knowledge. I assumed it was best for me to have another c section because maybe a normal delivery would cause my precious inscision to rupture....and who knows if that was the case also, but I would have ended up in an emergency c section anyways and it would have been dangerous for her and me. I will say it again. Heavenly Father is in charge.

She is such a blessing to our family. She is such a great baby. Sleeps and eats so well!!! She only wakes up for one feeding around 3am in the night....and is just so wonderful! The kids love her and can't get enough of holding her and I just hate to share. :) I could sit and hold her all day...and at this point I basically do.

I don't know if she will be our last. There is a good possibility. And with these hormones, I bawl like a baby thinking of it. Only time and Heavenly Father will tell. I just want her to stay a newborn forever. I want to soak up every second and not let it slip away. I look at Juliet and Jace and can't fathom where the time went. I soaked up every second with them, but here we are...they are potty trained, in big beds, and on the way to be 3 years old. I can't handle it. Time needs to slow down.

I am so blessed. What more can I say.

Soccer and Apples

Today was the first Saturday after school, and things are starting! Soccer just started for Ryder. He hasn't played for about a year and begged to play again, so you can imagine his excitement! He loves it! He did super good and even scored a goal during the game!

It was also the first day of apple picking season here in NY. I figured we better do it now, in case we don't make it over there this year. The kids think its fun, and you can eat all you want while you are picking...so...we had a good time. I am always in awe how many apples they eat a day when there are so many at home. I am glad though! It was a good Saturday.. and after a busy morning....I was done.

First Day of School

Well, it finally came. Everyone goes to school before us, but since we don't start school til after Labor Day, we are basically the last to go. The kids were excited to go to their new classes...with the exception of Jayda. She was super nervouse her 3 minutes between classes wouldn't be enough time to go to her locker and get to her classes spread out all over the school. Poor thing, she was visusalizing making it to classes for two days. Halle, who went to the middle school for the first time, seemed clueless and no even the least bit scared. I think she was excited to be doing something new, but didn't seem worried at all about finding classes or opening her locker. I was probably more worried than her. They all did great the first day and seemed to be excited to be back in a schedule....or maybe that is just me.

For us that stayed home...Me, Kason, and the twins... it was a little harder. My helpers were all gone and Kason tried to be a helper. He tried to help take the twins to the bathroom when possible. I over guessed my abilities this far in pregnancy and mopped and swept and then was in a bit of pain the rest of the day. No bueno. I do miss my helpers, but glad to have a schedule too. Since the twins don't take naps anymore and I am counting down til this baby arrives, the days seems long, but we will survive!

First of school though...big success!!

Mia's 10th Birthday!

We celebrated Mia's birthday on Friday, with her choice of friend. :) We went to the Texas Roadhouse with our friends The Bigelows. Mia picked her friend Halle Bigelow to spend her bday with..so we just made it a family affair. After the Roadhouse, we came home for an "Amazing Race" around the house.

I think she had a great bday!

Happy 10th Birthday Mia! You finally have your ipod, since you have been bugging us for over a year for it.....:) We love you!
