Can't help it. They just look so cute every morning. :) And can you tell in each pictures, Mia is just so excited?




They sure miss Ryder when they are at school, however, I am not sure he misses them too much. He didn't think this was all that funny...he was hitting Jayda on the head. :)

Happy 5th Birthday Mia!

Well, this day came with a lot of preparations! (Yesterday) I was super busy getting everything ready, but it was a great day! We woke up and had some yummy Kolaches. We love them with sausage and cheese. We usually only eat them when my sister comes, for some reason. So Mia said, "why are we having Kolaches, Auntie Angie isn't here?" :) But we scarfed them all down in no time anyways. Yummy!

(Nevermind the "kolache" bread stuck in Ryder's teeth) He still looked cute. :)


After we returned from church, we were planning on having Grandma and Grandpa Cluff and Grandpa Martinez and Laura over for pizza (Mia's second choice of dinner after Macaroni & Cheese), cake, and ice-cream.

While we waited for the pizza to cook, we let her open her presents. She loved them.

Next we had yummy pizza, and of course, cake and ice-cream.
This is the cake she wanted. Since she is going to Kindergarten, it was perfect. The Gator is their mascot...if you were wondering. :)

We played a couple of games of pin the tail on the donkey and toss the pennies, and of course everyone was a winner!

It was a good birthday! I can't believe Mia is already 5. She has always seemed older than she is, it has gone by fast. She just wants to be as big as everyone else. She is super smart and already knows a lot of her sight words for Kindergarten. School couldn't come soon enough in her mind! What a big girl!

Kindergarten Orientation & Meet the Teacher

Today was a big day. Mia had Kindergarten Orientation bright and early at 8am! She was so cute and excited and ready to go to school. She got to meet her teacher, which is Mrs. Brinkerhoff. She was super excited to get her, because she goes to our church and we already know her. She is a fun teacher and so nice. She was even one of the princesses at Disneyland once, so that should tell you how fun of a teacher she is. :)



Later in the day, we got to meet Jayda and Halle's new teachers for the year. Halle is going to be in Mrs. Martindale's class. We were excited about that too, because she was Jayda's teacher last year and we love her!


Jayda's new teacher is Mrs. Griffith. We don't know much about her, but she seems like a good teacher and Jayda is excited. She has a friend from church in her class too, so all is well!



Everyone is excited for the first day of school! Including mom!

She has been begging me for a hair cut for months...so here it is. She really likes it.


Second thing...



Its seems like we have waited until the last minute to buy all our school supplies..and well, we have. We had to go to two stores to get it all, but the girls had fun, and really enjoyed getting all their stuff. As you can imagine! They all got new backpacks and plenty of stuff to stick in it for the first day of school! I dont know how they will carry them so full of stuff! :) But they were excited!
