Halle turns 10!

Halle is turning double digits tomorrow! We had her birthday party today which was a rainbow theme! It was fun to find stuff to do with rainbows. We decided on rainbow snacks (colored goldfish, fruit in the shape of a rainbow, and fruity pebble rice krispie treats) with flavored waters. We played pin the gold under the rainbow and had races to separate m&ms. It was a fun party. Halle has cute friends and she got some great gifts. She has never been a big fan of cake, so I tried something new this year. I made her a cake roll (with ice cream in the middle). I saw a demonstration at http://www.delightdulce.com/2013/03/heart-patterned-cake-roll.html , that allows you to put a pattern in the cake...so I tried it!

I thought it turned out cute.

Halle had a fun party and a great day. I can't believe she is 10! Time flies by so incredibly fast, I am not ready to be an empty nester. That is just how fast I know it flies! I will blink and they will be all married and gone. I dread those days. I dread an empty, quiet, yes..even spotless house. Even though they are growing up to be great kids, I want them to stay little kids.

Halle, you are such a sweet little spirit. You are so kind, and gentle, and sensitive. You are smart and talented and are such a great baby tender. :) I love you so much and hope you had a wonderful birthday!

The Team took 3rd place overall and Jayda took 8th place on beam and 10th place on floor.

Christmas 2014 & New Years!

We had such a fun Christmas this year. Nana and Papa Bill came the week before and we got to enjoy them and the Christmas lights at Washington Park. Then Auntie Angie came with a whirl wind of fun and gifts. We enjoyed everyone here for 48 hrs at the same time! The kids were spoiled rotten and Nelson and I had a good time too! :) For New Years, we had a party with some of our friends and then stayed up watching movies and the ball drop! It was fun!

Jayda's 1st Gymastics meet

Jayda did so good today at her first Gymnastics Meet. She placed in 3 of 4 events and took 7th overall. She had so much fun, and we can't wait to see more of her talents!

She also qualified to attend the State finals on her first meet! You must reach at total of 32 points combined at least during one meet in order to compete!

10 Months Old

These little cuties are 10 months old now! Up and crawling, pulling themselves up, and as cute as can be! :)

Thanksgiving

We did it! We drove to Utah and back and we all survived! We went to Utah for Thanksgiving. We decided to leave the Friday before, drive 24 hrs to Lincoln, NE where Nick and Corie live....stay the night, then head out Sunday morning to Vernal, Utah...Ben and Pam's new house. That is exactly what we did. It wasn't too bad. Saturday we got to Nick's house at about 11am. We hung out all day with them, which was fun, then headed to Vernal Sunday at a 6:30. We were all so excited to see everyone!

When we got to Vernal, Benson and Albree, and Jackie and Keith were there with their kids. Grandma had all her fun Christmas decorations out and the kids were so excited to be there. Besides they have a great new house with 8 bedrooms and a hot tub they couldn't wait to get into. :)

We spent a couple of days at Grandma and Grandpas, before leaving Wednesday to Salt Lake City. We took the kids to see Temple Square. We met some friends from our New York Ward (attending school in Utah) on Temple Square and it was fun to see them! We also visited an old friend of mine, Maile, in Lindon before heading to Carolee's house (Nelson's sister). I wish I had taken pics at Maile's but I forgot :(.

 

We stayed at Carolee's house, who just had twins, a boy and girl also. :) They were so cute.

Thursday we spent at Spencer and Trina's. (Spencer is one of Nelson's 13 brothers). Trina's family was all over at her house and it was fun to see them. (We have spent Turkey day with them before). Nelson's family does their big party Friday after Thanksgiving.

The food was great, it was all set up so cute, and the kids had so much fun at their house!

Friday after Thanksgiving, we celebrate the Cluff Thankmas party. :) We started with a skeet shoot at Spencer's house...and also start a progressive dinner and talent show that continues to other's houses. There were almost 75 of us, and it was a load of talent, food, and fun.

We ended up at Carolee's with more Gift exchanges and Santa. :) The kids has so much fun and it was so fun to see everyone!

 

We had to leave out Saturday morning to beat a storm and get home for school and Nelson's work. So we drove 24 hours to Middlebury, IN to see my cousin Becky and her family. We went to dinner with them at Chile's, it was so fun to see them and their sweet girls.

 

Our trip was super fun and although a long drive, it wasn't too bad. I was pleasantly surprised how well the drive was and how well the kids behaved. Even the babies were great. :)

Almost 9 months!

These two will be 9 months on Wednesday! I am so sad time is flying by, but love each little phase. They are so much fun and so cute! I just can't stop kissing them all over! :)

Halloween

Per the usual, we went to the school to watch the Elementary Costume Parade, it was fun to see the kids dressed up and walk around in their classes!

This year we also had another great Halloween party! Despite sickness attempting to rain on our parade (and actual rain) it turned out great. The weather was perfect, not too cold, and it was so beautiful. The leaves were all colors and everywhere. I kept thinking it felt just like in the movies. It was gorgeous. We had some friends over and all the missionaries in our ward (6) over for dinner and then the families went trick or treating. It was fun to decorate and make food this year. I had lots of great ideas off different place on the internet so it was fun to see them all turn out. We had a good time!
