First Day on the Road

We left Austin bright and early Sunday morning to head for Stillwater, OK to see Emmalee and Eric and their kids. We knew it would be late getting there, and we wouldn't have much time with them...but nonetheless....still fun to see our family on our way to New York!

The Bitter Sweet End of Texas

Today Halle got baptized. Here are a few of her photo shoot I took a couple of weeks ago....not too fancy, but fancy enough for us I guess.





The morning started out as usual, for anything big in Halle's life. Crying. She is so sensitive and shy and scared, she was so worried people would be staring at her....well..they kind of would be. :) So with that said, here are the pictures we took before we left our house for the church...ha!

Here is one with my Dad and Laura at the church....that is another funny story. (He totally forgot all his clothes) Notice Nelson's white shirt and tan coat over my dad's black sweat pants with a belt... Ha...no one even noticed!

Her baptism went fantastic. Jayda and Mia played the piano. Sienna and Grandma Cluff said the prayers and Grandpa Cluff and Nana gave talks. It was so wonderful. Then we had great friends who provided us, our family, and more friends with a wonderful lunch! What a big deal! We were so grateful for all they did for us. Hopefully blessings will pour down from Heaven for them and from all their service to us.

We had such a fun day and enjoyed seeing everyone and saying a goodbye one last time! It was also so fun to share Halle's special day with so many people we care about!

We ended our last night in Texas by being true Texans and eating at Whataburger with our great friends Lindsey, Richard, and Emily! YUM YUM!

Today my mom and Step-dad arrived to come celebrate Halle's birthday with us as well as be here for her baptism, and our last weekend in Texas! Today my little Bug is 8! How time zooms by when you aren't looking. I am glad my mom and Bill came in today to celebrate with us. We let her choose where she wanted to eat at she picked CiCi's pizza. So here we are.


After Dinner we let her open her presents, and she got lots of great gifts from everyone! (These are just a few)





And then we made these for her class to celebrate her birthday!




I am so proud of Halle. She is such a loving sweet little girl with a kind sensitive spirit. She loves family and spending time together and hates for us to be a part. She is growing in to a lovely little angel. We are so glad she is in our family! We love you little Halle Bug. Happiest 8th Birthday! (More celebrating on Saturday, when you are baptized!)

Well, it all fit...all of our stuff in that one truck!!!! And here we are living like this for the next few days. :)

The last few things will go in the back of the truck and in Nelson's car that we are pulling! :) This is how we slept when we left Utah! Well, on to another state I guess!

Let the Moving Begin

So this arrived today. This is what all of our belongings will be travelling in to New York!

Stephenville

Today we went to my old stomping ground, Stephenville, Texas. My BFF from 6th grade lives there now and coaches the HS freshman girls basketball team. So we went up to see her. We also go to see some other old friends...Erica (my college friend) and her sweet family, Helen (my old boss from College), and Wes and Jackie, my old "older" :) friends from college. It was fun to see them all before we move away. Kristi's team won something evil like 48 to 15....they killed the other team. Awesome!

After visiting with Helen at the game, Erica and I went to Wes and Jackie's new Go cart racing place they opened. They let us ride around a few times with all the kids. :) It was super fun.

Then we had a yummy dinner at Montana's, a favorite during college. It was fun to see all of them, my only regret was not taking more pictures! (Erica...send me the ones on your phone!!) :)

My sister came to visit for the weekend, so we could play one last time before we move to New York. We had lots of fun. We went to the circus, which turned out to be a blast. The kids loved it and we had great seats. We even road an elephant! We also went and saw the Muppets which was fun too..although not as entertaining for the little ones...but still...popcorn, candy, singing..FUN. :) It was a great weekend. We look forward to many more in a new place!
