Easter Fun in College Station

Yes, we drove to College Station this weekend, with me as prego as I am. It wasn't too bad. It isn't too far, but now I am at the point where the swelling (everywhere) will not go down. My feet look like Elephant cankles 24/7 now...so fun. :) My fingers are like large vienna sausages....so you can imagine the fun of being pregnant in the humidity down here. Nonetheless...at least I could complain to my pregnant sister in law who drove 8hrs from Oklahoma...at 30 weeks pregnant! We were both swollen like watermelons! :) Her oldest daughter Emma, just kept staring at us laughing....:) something I will remind her of one day when she is pregnant!

We had such a fun weekend with our family. We stayed at Ben and Pam's (Nelson's parents) for the weekend. My sister in law Emmalee and her family (4 girls with a boy on the way) came down, plus My mom and step dad came down for Easter. (My mom came home with us to stay for a few weeks and help with the kiddos while I have little baby boy!)

The kids had so much fun all weekend. Grandma and Grandpa went way out of the way to make sure....but they sure enjoyed it. They played in the water most of the weekend....a pool, sprinkler toys, and a big blow up water slide they rented. We colored easter eggs, had a big easter egg hunt, played games, had a family home evening, broke a pinata....ate lots of yummy food, went to church to hear Grandma and Grandpa speak....and just had so much fun. It was so fun to spend time with our family since we don't get to do it often, and the girls had so much fun with their cousins....It was a great way for us to celebrate Easter!

Easter Egg Fun at the park

Today we went to a park near our house for a Easter celebration put on by a local church in our community. It was altogether fun and something for the kids to do on a Saturday. They enjoyed it and were all tuckered out when it was over. Here is a few pics of our "Eggstravaganza!"

Seaworld San Antonio!

Oh what fun we had at Seaworld! They were only open from 10am to 5 pm right now, so we had to squeeze it all in! It was so fun to spend time with our family and play! The day was perfect, overcast, but not too hot (mostly), and there were very few people. The lines were short and we all had so much fun! We bought fun cards (which are the same price as a one day ticket!) And can go back the rest of the year for free! What a deal! Here is a peak at the fun we had.

Cousins!!!!

The girls were so excited to see some of their cousins (only 3 of over 50) ...they all live far away. Today Casey and Barb and their 3 girls (Angie, Sarah, and Emily) came to Texas for their Spring Break. (They live in Washington). They stayed the night at our house their first night and the girls couldn't have been more excited to see them. They had lots of stuff planned for their vacation, so we planned to go with them on Thursday to Seaworld. It is so fun to see them!!!!!

Del Valle Elementary Awards Ceremony

Today was the end of the 9 weeks Awards Ceremony. Although Kindergarten does not do awards, much to Mia's dismay....1st and 2nd do...so we went up this morning to enjoy Halle and Jayda getting their awards. They both got ribbons for the A honor roll and perfect attendance.

Spring Break

Well, it has been an eventful week....okay not really, but somewhat. We didn't really do a whole lot, except go to the park several times, which was fun nonetheless. At the beginning of the week I went to an ultrasound my new doctor requested. It was fun to have one so late in pregnancy, I have never had one before this late. Kason is just hanging out in there, the wrong way I might add! I am praying he will flip himself around the right way, but if not, then I will be having my first c-section come May 10th instead of my easy peasy deliveries! :( A little scary. Fingers crossed he will get it together and flip around! :)

We also went to College Station at the end of the week. Nelson had to work there so we played at the park and with Grandma. We saw a few of our friends at the park. I made these little Baby gifts for her (wipes, burp cloth, changing pad). I was rather impressed with myself...this was the first time I made the changing pad. It was super easy.

The week went by fast and overall, we had fun, but now back to the grind.
