A Fun Family Weekend in College Station!

Friday we went to College Station to play with some of our family we havent seen for almost a year! Nelson's Sister, Emmalee and her family (of 4 girls!) came to visit their mom, and we went up to see them too. It was super fun! The girls were so excited to see their cousins! We got there Friday evening and just visited for a while. Then we went to a yummy place to eat dinner. You can imagine the stares and looks we got with our group of (8 girls) and one tiny boy! :)











Saturday, we woke up to a yummy breakfast, of course!

For lunch we went to Gattitown, kind of like Chuck E Cheese, but better, in my opinion. It was lots of fun, and as you can imagine, took up most of the afternoon.















After a fun afternoon at Gattitown, Grandpa and Grandma decided to buy a basketball goal to play with outside, so we put that up and the girls had so much fun!











Then the girls wanted to do "make overs" so they all "painted" their faces in our makeup and played. They put on "dances" for us and danced to music. It was super cute. Then they sang songs and after a lesson from the sister missionaries, they NEEDED a bath. :) We finished the night off with a movie and popcorn. It was a fun day!












Sunday, we went to church, had a yummy lunch, visited, had more dance shows (outside) and then had to say goodbye. It was such a fun weekend! We sure miss living close to cousins, but it is that much sweeter when we get to see them.

Happy Birthday Honey! I hope you have a great day! I hope your next 30 years will be better than the last. Drink a few more lemonades and don't stay up so late. :) ha.

So here is what we did today.
Mia, Sienna, and I went to The Woodlands and took dad to lunch! We went to Double Daves....it was yummy!


After he came home, we had dinner and yummy brownies, icecream, and strawberries for his birthday. My dad came over and we played a couple of games of settlers for fun. :) I hope he had a good day, I thought it was fun!

FHE Box

About 6 years ago, our ward in the Ranches, started having a FHE lesson "sharing" group. We divided up into 8-10 people per group and met to share ideas. Usually each person brought one lesson and copies of it for everyone else in a manilla file folder. We all made our own boxes to store these in.

At the time, I made another one, to auction off at a family fundraiser. I never decorated my own box, just kept it like it was, always intending to one day. Well, that day came...and today, I decorated it.

Our ward here is having an enrichment tonight about FHE lessons. I mentioned the idea and they wanted to see my box. Imagine my embarrassment to send an ugly white box not decorated to be displayed! I hurried and covered it as fast as I could with what I had around the house....it came out cute actually, but it would have been better if I had taken my time! ;)

I still liked the outcome though!





(Look familiar? It is the same material I used to make Corie and Lori's car seat covers for their new babies! :) At least it is cute! :)
